The salon enjoys the beauty of the old building with a modern and contemporary interior. Everything about the salon speaks of simple luxury and Katie clearly has an eye for detail. ‘The Bank’ boasts a fully stocked licensed bar, exclusive beauty rooms, and for those of you with an eye on being Insta-ready, there’s even a photography room in the original bank vault.

Having gone from an apprenticeship with a local hairdresser, to owning and running her own salons, Katie’s genuine care for customers is obvious and has made her salons a firm favourite with Derbyshire customers since 2014.

“My first salon was a small space on Bridge Street, and we simply grew out of there. We knew we wanted somewhere lovely for our clients to spend some quality me-time and when The Bank became available, we knew it was perfect.”

But for Katie, it’s not just about providing a nice space for our clients, it’s about being a great place to work too and puts her success down to the strong team she has around her.

“I’m so proud of the KW Team. Everyone from our senior stylists to our younger apprentices are focussed on providing care, value for money and a great experience. We feel so blessed to have such lovely clients and it’s always a joy to welcome existing and new customers alike.”

The team enjoy regular training whilst keeping up with the latest trends in colour and styling. Colour treatments are very reasonably priced, and the team love a client transformation. Whether you are looking for an all-over colour, baby highlights or a beautiful balayage, the team provide a free consultation and fully discuss your options. Maybe you’d like longer hair? We also offer a range of hair extensions at differing costs which will give you the look you want, at a price you want to pay.

The Beauty Rooms have proved popular with customers. As an official Decleor stockist, with fully trained skincare experts, there is a range of facial therapies using natural ingredients. The Hot Stone Body Massage is a salon favourite and will leave you feeling incredibly relaxed, and muscle tension eased. Utter bliss! The retail area in the Belper salon is second to none for haircare and skincare products. As a GHD Premier Salon, the full range of GHD styling tools and products are available.
